Earth Day is coming up! The holiday, which is celebrated every year on April 22, serves as both a celebration of the earth’s beauty and a reminder to protect the planet we all call home.

Here in the United States, cars and trucks amount to almost one-fifth of all emissions. Taking your car off the road for just one day can make a difference and may inspire you to seek alternative transportation more often! Try walking, riding your bike, or using public transportation to get where you need to go on Earth Day.
We live in a fast-paced world full of distractions, and a lot of us spend more time inside watching Netflix or scrolling through Instagram than we do out in the natural environment. To combat this, put down your phone this Earth Day and take some time to reconnect with nature. Go for a hike (check out some of our favorite New England hikes and trails here), take a walk on the beach, stay up late to stargaze—anything that gets you outside!
