How Boston Solar Gives Back to the Local Community
As Boston Solar expands and installs solar on homes and businesses across Massachusetts, we want to share the growth with non-profit organizations that need our assistance. Over the past few years, we have been part of a number of social responsibility initiatives.
Solar Strikes Out ALS
The focus of Solar Strikes Out ALS campaign is to raise awareness and funds to support ALS research, as well as invaluable services for ALS patients and their families. Boston Solar, in conjunction with Team FrateTrain, a foundation to raise money for Pete Frates’ ALS care, work together to raise money to benefit ALS research and Pete’s care, which costs up to $100,000/month.
Lucy's Love Bus
Lucy Grogan was 8-years-old when she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Throughout Lucy’s long illness, concerned individuals like you raised money to help support Lucy. Lucy learned about the benefits of integrative therapies such as massage, acupuncture, art therapy, and therapeutic horseback riding during her treatment. Boston Solar is proud to donate to $50 for every system installed to Lucy’s Love Bus to provide massage therapy for children at the Floating Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
Woburn Boys & Girls Club
Boston Solar is proud to support the local Woburn Boys & Girls Club. In 2017, they constructed a new facility that have solar installed by Boston Solar. Boston Solar donates annually to the club and runs special promotions to members and their families who want to go solar.
