The Precautions We Are Taking for COVID-19/Coronavirus

Mar. 17, 2020

As the state of Massachusetts (and the rest of the world) has their eyes on the evolving news regarding COVID-19, schools, businesses, and municipalities are heightening their procedures to protect the safety of their customers, constituents, and team members.

Boston Solar is no different as we prioritize the safety of our customers, communities and our team. Our team members and technicians are taking additional precautions before, during, and after each of our appointments and installations, and we are regularly reviewing our company-wide health and safety protocols to follow the latest recommendations from professional health organizations and the local and federal governments.

We understand that homeowners, families and the businesses and communities we serve want to stay safe.  Here are the specific measures of what we are doing to cooperate with our community’s effort to reduce the spread of Covid-19.

Virtual Solar Appointments

Though our standard solar appointments are in-person meetings to discuss your customized solar quotes and proposals, we are also offering virtual appointments via the video-conferencing software Zoom or by telephone. This is to adhere to any and all “social distancing” that is required to prevent the spread of the virus and provide peace of mind for your household as well as our team members.

Admin Team Working Remotely Policy

While some essential staff will continue to work on-site at the Boston Solar head office in Woburn, the majority of our administrative staff will be working remotely and practicing social distancing.  We will still be able to operate and serve our customers at full administrative strength thanks to our strong digital business infrastructure.

Precautions For On-Site Installation Teams

For our teams that will be on-site, we are taking action to prevent the spread of any contagion by equipping our solar installation team with additional precautionary personal hygiene measures, including:

  1. Gloves

  2. Masks

  3. Hand sanitizersCleaning supplies (disinfectant wipes, etc.)

  4. Portable sinks on site

  5. Social distancing

Safety Is Our Priority

The safety of our friends, family, and neighbors takes precedence. The team at Boston Solar, from top to bottom, is committed to health and safety first and foremost.
